A short but sweet vignette of a beautiful scene from the weekend.
The sun shone down as eight cousins chased each other through the sand, scooped water in shoveled holes, piling onto one another in playful glee. A rare sight, an unusual and beautiful scene. My daughters- all three of them – soaking up time with their cousins.
I stood and watched. Smiling.

VERY sweet! I usually got to see my cousins only in the summer on short visits. When I see them now that we are all grown with children (and grandchildren!) of our own, it is amazing to see the family traits and the ways we look and act like each other.

It is so important to spend time with extended family. My son recently connected with 5 of his cousins, all married now making it even more challenging.

“Playful glee” says it all! Cousin time is like no other. Glad your girls got to be free with some of their favorite people. And thrilled that you were able to be a silent observer, merely smiling at the sight of their activity. Sweet slice!
